2024 SF City & County contract negotiations are underway.

As working people, we know that when we’re united and active in our union, we have the collective power to negotiate wage increases, protect affordable healthcare for our families, ensure safety and fairness on the job, and secure greater funding for public services.

The wins of City and County of San Francisco SEIU 1021 members have been made possible with members all pitching in with our dues and being willing to exercise our voice on the job. Our unity is our strength, because together we are able to accomplish so much more than we would alone.

In our last contract, together we made progress on many of the priorities identified by members and your elected bargaining teams to improve recruitment and retention and strengthen the public services we provide.

Since our last contract negotiations, San Francisco’s budget outlook has changed, with a budget deficit projected and tax revenues declining. Healthcare costs are also increasing. Billionaires and corporations are finding excuses to avoid paying their fair share and seek to divide us based on race and class. 

As our elected leaders make tough decisions on how to handle changes to revenues, it will be more critical than ever that we advocate loudly and continually for ourselves, the services we provide, and the communities we serve, both at the bargaining table and in the streets.
